You Snooze, You Lose.
Daniel Gallagher likely learned a tough lesson when
he sat down to rest a block away from the second of two banks he allegedly
robbed on the morning of Oct. 8, 2003.
As Gallagher took his breather, a Miami police officer spotted the weary
robber and arrested him.
Gallagher's tiring spree allegedly began when he entered a bank and
threatened to detonate a bomb unless a teller handed over $100.
Gallagher's "bomb" turned out to be a cold can of Miller beer in a bag.
Then the man walked down the block to another bank with his "beer bomb" in
hand, he walked away with another $100.
As a responding police officer took a description of the robbery suspect
from a female witness, the woman pointed to the resting Gallagher.
Gallagher was charged with two counts of armed robbery and making a bomb
threat.
It just goes to show you that when you snooze, you
lose.
