Wrong drive through order lands employee in
jail.
A drive through order that contained an unexpected
bonus has landed a California fast food employee in the slammer.
The employee was arrested in September of 2002 after a customer drove up
to a Kentucky Fried Chicken drive-in window. The customer discovered that
he had received the wrong side order with his chicken dinner: two bags of
marijuana.
The patron politely returned the pot to the worker, received his biscuits
(the right side order), and then called police.
Carlos Ayala, 26, was arrested moments later at the restaurant. Officers
found Ayala with a small amount of marijuana, a handgun and about $500 in
his possession, according to police.
Authorities believe Ayala was selling marijuana to customers who used a
secret word as a code, said a Marin County sheriff's spokesman.
