Reality TV is quite the rage these days - and so are lawsuits. It was just a matter of time before the two forms of social insanity teamed up to produce another goofy lawsuit. A reality TV buff is suing NBC for $2.5 million,
contending that he threw up because of a "Fear Factor" episode in which
contestants ate rats mixed in a blender. But Aitken had to draw the line at watching goofballs eating rats, which he claims just went too far. "It's barbaric, some of the things they ask these individuals to do," said Aitken. Hey Austin, get a grip. It's a TV show - which means the participants can choose not to be on the show and not eat disgusting things, doesn't it? And it also means that you can turn the damn TV off,
watch something else or even pick up a good book. When asked why he didn't
shut off his television before the rat-eating segment, he told the AP he
couldn't do it quick enough. But he was quick on the draw when it came
down to filing a stupid lawsuit. When pressed, he had to confess that he isn't concerned with winning a cash judgment in court. No, lawsuits are NEVER about the money, are they? "I just put any figure. You really think I expect to get $2.5 million?" he said. No, we don't. And we hope the judge makes you gulp
down one of those rat milkshakes as punishment for filing this frivolous
lawsuit and wasting the court's time.
