Diplomat's Husband Stripped of Thousands.
A high-end Manhattan gentlemen's club has been sued
by a foreign diplomat's husband for allegedly adding bogus charges to a
bill that totaled nearly $130,000 for drinks and dances.
Tauhidul Chaudhury, the husband of a consular official at the Bangladesh
Mission to the United Nations, claims he was 'stripped' of thousands of
dollars at the Scores club.
In his suit Chaudhury claims that even after he became "obviously
intoxicated" at the club on Oct. 23, 2003, club staffers continued plying
him with drinks and "took advantage of his intoxicated state."
All told, his tab for the night came to a staggering $129,626, which
Scores charged on four of Chaudhury's credit cards, according to his
lawsuit in Manhattan's state Supreme Court. Roughly calculated, that's
enough cash to buy approximately 6,500 5-minute lap dances, without tip.
Chaudhury says he "does not recall authorizing these charges" and is
accusing Scores of wrongful conduct, requesting that the court to award
him $129,626 plus interest.
I guess we'll have to wait to find out what the total 'score' will be in
this case.
